This was published today. Quite unsettling.

It's going to have to run it's course irregardless of reported numbers.

It won’t run its course until we have developed herd immunity, that is until about 75-80 % of us have had it and we are a long, long way from that. We have to develop a vaccine or some good treatment methods for it or this will be the Spanish flu all over again.

There is no evidence one is immune from re-infection. Isn't that necessary for herd immunity to work?

Sadly (and stupidly) the anti-vaxxers are already opposed to any vaccine against the virus.

23% Won't Get Vaccine Against COVID-19

23 percent say they won’t get a COVID-19 vaccine
‘Anti-vaxxer’ sentiment could jeopardize efforts to build immunity.

When the vaccine is finally available and the majority of people get it, the world may start to resume some sense of normality again. The anti-vaxxers are welcome to join us... or pay the price.

As long as Covid-19 hasn't mutated too much in the months it takes to create the vaccine.

A collection of breaking news from Reuters on the Coronavirus... the most important bit is about Abbott's antibody test with outstanding accuracy.

Here's a (time-stamped) link to Elon Musk's take the virus and, more particularly, the US's response thereto. (For what it's worth, earlier in the video he also stated the virus's mortality rate has been exaggerated by "an order of magnitude," which he later specified as 10x to 50x.) I"m not saying I agree with everything he says but it's certainly worth consideration and, if you disagree, a reasoned response. Mexico will face many of the same considerations he identifies. And it would probably be better to do so in a calculated fashion than a reflexive or hyperbolic one.

Elon Musk is a brilliant man although my tastes are more for Bill Gates because as you know Elon Musk is about what’s good for Elon Musk. He quoted Ataturk as saying “If one day, my words are against science, choose science”. I’m sure he regrets having said it. He is not well know for being a defender of constitutional rights more than being a promoter of his programs. He would be justified in saying this to the thousands who work in the mercados who have no government checks coming in or health plans or other type of financial cushion. But I have a check coming in, a health plan, and a full pantry. So I would say to him “Elon Musk, go fuck yourself”
There’s an old Mexican saying that is now more appropriate than ever: “Your rights end where my nose begins”
Elon Musk will say and do what is best for his enterprises. We have to do the same for ourselves and stop listening to this shithole telling us what our constitutional rights are.

There was an article where South Korea has come forward to say once you have the virus you are immune. Initially they said otherwise but then admitted they made some testing errors.

Just to be clear, then, you've attacked his credibility but not his points, evidence, or arguments.

You can spend all day arguing both sides. I’m not wasting my time rehashing all that’s out there. You do what you think is best for you.

She did by saying that his only interest was self interest and his point of view, evidence and arguments are based on that. Now where have I seen that attitude before....

Excellent, thank you ferret!! It is interesting how one tiny, invisible, virus may save the planet after all. I, for one, sure hope so even if it costs me my life.

Must say, I'm enjoying the increase in birdsong around my house in the morning and afternoon. Long live the planet!

I had the idea it was Mainecoons. He brings nothing to a conversation but prerehearsed questions. I stopped posting in TOB because of him. His infantile ignorance shows so easily through his facade.

I love (DON´T), his constant, never ending spiel, about how he does his "homework", and no one else does.
He has used that line a zillion times.
His homework is to find any corroborating evidence, fact or fiction to support his one track mind set.
He can´t help it though because his lack of intelligence does not allow him to rise to the next higher level of thinking. He is permanently frozen where he is at with no chance of escape.  And of course, he doesn´t even realize it.
Most free thinkers with even a minimum amount of intelligence has examined Mainecoons positions and moved on.

They found that recovered patients were testing positive again, but then lately said that was because they were shedding dead lung cells, which tested positive (not sure how that happens if they're dead), but didn't mean they were reinfected or contagious.
