Thanks for your personal experience mudgirl.
I occasionally read that the antibodies don't last very long. However, none of those reports ever mention the incredible memory that our immune system has. The antibodies may not be there but it doesn't mean that our bodies won't kick into the production of them immediately it encounters the virus again.
Keeping our immune systems in optimal condition to fight is the only other way to get around this virus... other than wearing a mask and social distancing to avoid exposure in the firs (or second) place.
Suerte!!!

Did you have the vaccination at any time to prevent it?

Yes, I think I did about 5 years earlier when we moved down here. Not sure how long that lasts.

I'm just lucky- I've never done anything special to boost my immune system- I usually forget to take my vitamins, but I do eat healthily. I think I inherited my father's immune system. He lived to 92 and never had anything wrong with him- no cancer, no diabetes, no heart problems, not on any medications. He was still quite active at 92- did a lot of travelling, grew a garden. He probably would have lived to over 100 had he not had a bad fall, breaking his femur, which they had to put a plate in. But he even pulled through that okay and was starting to walk again. It was when he slipped and rebroke it a few weeks after the first operation that I think he decided to give up. He pulled through the second operation okay, but the nurses found him passed in the morning.
My stepmother said he was really grouchy after the first fall, which wasn't his normal state- he was a quiet, sweet man. It must have been really frustrating to finally be debilitated when you'd gone 92 years without any health issues.

Injectable requires booster every 2 years, oral every 5 years. But it could last a lot longer than that. They say you need a tetanus booster every 10 years, but there's never been a case of tetanus in anyone who was ever vaccinated, even if you were only vaccinated as a small child.

The Widal Test (which is absolutely ancient) is the most common test used here for the diagnosis of Typhoid (Salmonella typhi). It is atrocious for false positives and it will always be positive if you have been vaccinated.
It would be a good idea to find out the name of the test done from your Doctor. The BEST way to have been diagnosed would have been to have a stool culture done. If the Salmonella typhi is isolated in the stool (preferably three samples over three days) THEN you know for sure that you have it. If the first sample grows it then the other two are unnecessary. Very specific serology is done on the grown Salmonella to determine which variety (of over 2,000 kinds) it is.

Well after two rounds of antibiotics I finally tested negative so I assumed there must have been something there.

Understood. Antibiotics kill everything... the good, the bad and the ugly. Two rounds of antibiotics... to possibly kill a good bacteria that was causing a false positive... on a person that was completely asymptomatic.

It's been mostly the people who think the virus is some media hype, liberal plot, or hoax who have been banging on about herd immunity. There has been zero scientific evidence to date that having this virus, whether symptomatic or not, confers any immunity whatsoever. It would be great if it did, but so far, I haven't seen anything that indicates that.

There are still a few people that continue chugging along with their trust on hydroxychloroquine:

More on the virus - Page 40 Empty Restaurants and Covid Cases

Post by BisbeeGal Mon Jun 29, 2020 9:53 am

Interesting article.  Not surprising, but nice to see some actual stats.
Link Between Restaurants and New Covid Cases

Higher restaurant spending appears to be linked to a faster spread of the coronavirus, according to a JPMorgan study.

Analyst Jesse Edgerton analyzed data from 30 million Chase credit and debit cardholders and from Johns Hopkins University's case tracker. He found that increased restaurant spending in a state predicted a rise in new infections there three weeks later.

He also said restaurant spending was the strongest predictor across all categories of card spending.

Edgerton said in-person restaurant spending was "particularly predictive."

Conversely, higher spending at supermarkets predicts a slower spread of the virus, which could indicate that states that buy more groceries are more mindful of social distancing measures.

I am PISSED! I finally tracked down Handy Artistic Upholstery and set up an appointment for today at NOON. He arrived two minutes ago (nice to have someone come early) however, he arrived without a mask. So sorry fella, no mask no business.
Back to the drawing board.

supposed stats for Monday, June 29th, 2020... again, please note that Nacional, Jalisco, Ixtlahuacan and Jocotepec stats do not add up.
I'm getting frustrated and disillusioned with these discrepancies. Do you want me to keep posting them? Or do you want to look them up for yourselves or ? A sus ordenes.
