I find myself verklemmt. Louise and I will be donating to this worthy cause to further Mario's mobility. Unfortunately won't be there Swarmwise.
Here's my wish attendees. Maybe just this once Perry could go nuts and serve real fish (maybe charge a little more). No offense, I know U, the owner, have price points to meet with Ur cheap, hobbling, geriatric clientele who no longer have the ability or cunning to boil an egg or a spud.

There's a fish store @ la Huerta that sells real fish. Tilapia, basa, catfish, a lot of salmon are not real fish. They are farmed. They eat pellets/kibble/additives. How about that with Ur salsa ?
Just sayin. Perry could add up the #'s, buy a whole dorado or 2, maybe a grouper, now we're talkin nutrition. Who's picking up Mario and friends.

Phil and I will get the golf cart up the hill somehow, and Mario will be there.   

I paid about 5.00 euro for fish and chips in Dublin recently at Beshoff''s, my favorite chipper. That's a generous portion of three big pieces of fish and plenty of chips.  Now they use cod, haddock, or whiting from the atlantic which I doubt Perry can even order.
There is such a difference to me that I save my fish and chip appetite for the other side, or until I get desperate.
BTW, 5.00 euro is about $90.00 pesos.  I also think Perry does as good a job as any body can do in this "make do" world of fish and chips.

I believe Perry can make it happen. The product is out there, all he has to do is order it. $9 for real fish with your chips. Cheap. In case none of you have noticed high quality protein ( of the seafood, beef, chicken, egg, etc. type) is expensive. It has been FOREVER. Baldric was not munching on filet mignon. Oh, slainte39, I envy Ur Beshoff's fix.

Wie verklemmt sind sie wirklich?  Gosh it's been a long time since I lived in Europe and spoke that language. (Bayern, Oberammergau)

So ... I'm relatively new here ... could someone explain the whole 'swarm' concept to me? Is it an open group or a closed one?

A swarm is a major event on the Ajijic social calendar.
We select a deserving restaurant and a "swarm" of Inside Lakesiders go there for lunch.
In this particular case, Perry's is a new restaurant which is hosting a fundraiser for Mario.

Latest update on Mario. He will be there at the swarm to say thank you to everyone. He's shy so don't expect a speech, but you will have the chance to say hello.
We had a mechanic come out and look at the cart today - at the very least, the batteries are shot. When we replace them we are not hoping for any more surprises, or at least, very cheap ones.
Ivan and I did an impromptu estimate on what we might need over and above the batteries and our target goal of $1500 doesn't sound that far off. Once I have paid for all the repairs, I will disable the donate buttons on the site and any overage will go to Niños Incapacitados.
