Swarm 5

The swarm at Simply Thai today was a great success albeit a wee bit tight due to a tremendous turn out. The food was as awesome as ever.

Simply Thai = Simply Excellent.

I don't know if the Swarms are meeting on a regular schedule, but we will be in town the week of 8/20 and would really like to meet up. Thursday is probably the best day for us.

Swarm 6 will be at Angelica's the week of Aug 6th, time and day to be determined. It's a tasty way to meet and greet so visitors please do post your best dates and I'm sure CanuckBob will do his best to accommodate.

I'll miss SWARM 6 by 1 or 2 days, but I'll be able to make SWARM 7! I leave Yelm on Aug 31st for the 2,970 mile drive south. That's 4,779 K's for all my Canadian friends. LOL (Bob)

I myself will be flying in on the 8th of August and staying till the 10th of sept. Hope to make one of the Swarms, but I will have to find transportation if too far. Havent gotten brave enough to ride bus yet, but working on spanish to help the transition....lol

If you showed up, I bet a lot of us would show up to see the most prolific poster on record in person, well, you are almost #1.

Welcome aboard cagneykitty. If we hold the swarm on Thursday the 9th @ 2:00 p.m will you attend? If you are lakeside I'm sure someone will be able to give you a ride.

Could we have it at 1 PM or earlier so that I could attend?

Of course we will try Pete but want to check with Angelica to get a seating count and estimation of how many patrons she usually has on a Thursday afternoon. The swarms are growing and seating is becoming an issue so we may have to move our start times out of prime time. Would 3 p.m. work for you?

Sadly by three, I will have already had my lunch meal. But I'm only one, and it's what the majority wants, not what I want.

They don't serve food at "Simply Thai!! I can't see any food in the great pics.

Sounds good to me. I stay with Wayne and Wanda Vincent over on Pedro Moreno. Should be adjusted from Texas weather to Chapala weather by then. I will keep up with feed on this. Thanks

Sorry I missed this one - have been helping a 77 year old friend who just had two abdominal surgeries in two weeks. He feels terrible, but will probably recover. Has some other problems as well. Really needed that lunch.

I was lucky enough to have electricity cut off 2 times today, luckily right after washingmachine repair guy had finished. I live around the Galveston area so it isn't quite as hot here as near the border. Am looking forward to getting down there and hopefully meeting some of the folks on this web site.

I won't even say stay cool to those already there, it is beat into my head by a friend that is living there how much more wonderful it is there than here.... that is how I feel sometimes about it, I get it already.....lol

I was there for 5 weeks June & July I flew home and was back on the road to Mexico 7 days later. There is no comparison to WA. State at least for me.

Cagneykitty, take the bus, it's so much fun. give the driver a 10 pesos coin, or 20, or a 20 pesos note. You should get change. If you don't, give him "the look". Save the change. Save your change in Mx. The country runs on "change". Chapala to Ajijic should run 7 - 8 pesos. For a good intro, ride the bus to the end of the line (San Juan Cosala), and back. Might cost you 20 pesos. buy the driver a bevy. make a pal.
