Re: More on the virus
I have had way more than my fair share of colds, sore throats and earaches in the first 50 years of my life following the pattern of 1) sore throat going to 2) sinuses to 3) chest involvement with cough. I'd say about half the time that it involved the loss of taste and smell. So, don't panic yet but DO get to a Doctor quickly to get tested to make sure.
I can also tell you that I have had ONE slight cold in the last twenty years since I started taking 2000 I.U. vitamin D3 daily.

Tizapan has had 5 FOREVER. There must be some info on whether they've recovered or ?

No, they had 1 then they had 3, now they have 5 . As to the disposition of those 5 I don't have time. Google it.

Re: More on the virus
As much as I know, we have no more cases, at least my friends say they know of none. Still, we are pretty much staying home, and will continue doing so, as the last couple of nights there have been some pretty big parties, several mariachi bands. This does not bode well!

It is the official Fiesta that kicks off the rainy season. No idea how they are dealing with it.

I didn't have to google it. I just went back to re read your posts in this thread.
Page 15, April 15th, you reported 1 case in Tizapan.
Page 16, April 17th, you reported 2 cases in Tizapan
Then I started using the link provided by Frijoles April 18th on page 16. That link is now non functional
Page 17, April 22nd, you reported 4 cases in Tizapan
Page 19, April 28th, you reported 5 cases in Tizapan
And still the five cases in Tizapan??? Either they've recovered or ?
It is not logical to report cases and not report what happened or what is happening. Are these the original 5 or are they new? And that info is not available... and it makes for distorted reporting and understanding. That's my point.
Thanks Lucky Girl for your report... and please stay Lucky!

Trailrunner is not a reporter obligated to follow up on a story. People who are interested can do their own follow up or not. It is not logical to expect people posting what they read or heard to provide ongoing updates.

Re: More on the virus
I understand that Trailrunner has no obligation to do anything.
I know where CBob's information is coming from though and can see the rest of the story (supposedly) from that link.
Reporting numbers without knowing the source only frustrates the reader.

Link to official stats (datos)...
https://coronavirus.gob.mx/datos/
Go to map, click on state, click on municipality. I think this will answer the questions being raised in this thread.

Re: More on the virus
No SAT fiesta this year. Officially, anyway. But last night I could hear some music in the plaza. If you were asking about SA, Slainte.
The stats I posted here of local cases all came from the same daily gov reporting graph in the Pagina. Since they may not agree with stats you all have read, or heard, and since the gov can often report different "official" stats on any given day, and since I don't have the time to do the disposition breakdowns, I will stop reporting what I read and y'all can have at it. There are many sources to choose from.

As TR said, SAT. I've heard a few bands both during the day and in the evening. Impossible to tell in my location where the music is coming from, but normally by now we'd be halfway through the SAT fiesta, finishing when... on the 13th, the "official" start of the rainy season with a chubasco or two. The novenario for Saint Anthony of Padua. I've also heard a couple of cohetes, but nothing sustained.

Re: More on the virus
I was 22yo working as a respiratory therapist and I used to go give treatments to a young patient who had had some type of brain surgery. She was combative, confused, delirious so I would hold her hand and talk to her while giving the treatments. I thought that she was a lost cause. I took off on vacation and when I got back and went to see her she was sitting up with her mother by her side. She smiles at me and says “There you are, I was wondering what happened to you”.

Re: More on the virus
It is strange how there are way more cases for men than women. Are men more likely to not wear a mask or wash their hands? Do they go out more often? The same trend is world wide pretty much.
