It would be interesting to read about the difference in demographics between USA and Mexico. The virus spread has been faster NOB. Maybe Mexico is more provincial. In Mexico the ones you hear that do a lot traveling are the chilangos and that’s mostly during holidays.

"Patients need oxygen, not pressure." But pts need positive pressure to force the oxygen down into the lung bases - which are filled with fluid!

I don't know what to think about Mexico's stats and predictions. We know their testing processes are minimal, half of me thinks they have no idea what they're talking about.

I can see why ECMO is considered as a treatment. The number of patients just make it impractical. They’ve been talking of this treatment for years but it has never been perfected:

That's a fascinatingly good read. Almost like science fiction... but it sounds very labour intensive and, yes, the number of patients make it impractical. It will be perfected though and bodes well for the future.

I crunched some numbers yesterday and came up with this:

US represents 4.5% of the world's population.
US has 33% of the world's CV19 cases.
US has 27% of the world's CV19 deaths.

A few years ago I read the US healthcare ranked 29th worldwide.

The numbers beg the question,. "So how is TrumpCare working out for you now?"
