We are no longer discussing the restaurant. Most agree that it will stand or fall on its performance as a restaurant.
WDBarr re-introduced religion, complaining about "anti-Christians". Asking him to define that is fair enough, in a country where so many missionaries come to convert a population which has had a majority Christian religion for generations and a church in every village. Those who aren't interested in his answer need not read.
yes we can thank wdbarr ,accusing gringal,a coupla others and me for being anti-christians when we in fact were not enamoured of eviljellycoals, whose main function is to create convertibles. they have caused great harm, even death in this country. one such notorious outfit was affiliated with the restaurant until a parting of the sea[whoops! -ways].

Re: La Mision
It doesn't look like we're going to get an answer from WDBarr.
In that case, we can make our own assumptions about who thinks they are the "true" Christians and whether they are in a small tent or a huge auditorium, embracing all.
As Pedro put it in his own inimitable fashion, it is one thing to be against religion and quite another to be against "convertibles".
Hard tops, hang in there.

It is also one thing to be against certain brands of religion and quite another to accuse a "notorious outfit" of being responsible for death in Mexico and to say they were affiliated with a restaurant whose name is the title of this thread in the Food and Drink forum.

Don't think so: Pedro said: "one such notorious outfit was affiliated with the restaurant until a parting of the sea[whoops! -ways]." So, it sounds like he's making the statement about some entity who is not the title of this thread. Who? I can't guess.

Re: La Mision
This is not a discussion about religion, but about our experience eating great food at La Mision and your mission to undermine the efforts of those who express Christian motives for helping the poor and orphans through social entrepreneurship.
You have made all sorts of slanderous, ill informed and, frankly, ungrammatical accusations against those running La Mision - questioning their motives, their financial practices, their religious faith - your own reasons for doing this explained in terms that can only be characterized as gibberish.
The owners have released a statement on another board with an update about their charitable projects. Why don't you check that out and see if it answers your questions. There is a new head chef at La Mision who has worked with Gordon Ramsey, and as I stated earlier, it is where we are taking family and friends for dinner on New Year's Eve. We are all looking forward to the evening and the food.

The message on TOB was a repeat of the messages on here.

"Who is the YOU?"
Well, he said the comment was "slanderous, ill informed and ungrammatical" expressed in terms "that can only be characterized as gibberish." Want to take a wild guess who "you" is?

I don't know about wdbarr, but this is how some of us picture you at your key board each night--except you are typing in tongues.

Re: La Mision
perhaps you should have a chat with david who likens professor irwin cory as his hero enough to use him on his avatar. an inventilator of lawnwage as i am. one must be an expert in at least one lawnwage to accomplish this and hence i have given you pedrospeak which rivals esperanto in it's delicacy of diction. a far cry from that known as speaking in toungassess.Lady Otter Latté wrote:"i wonder what wdbarr thinks about a buncha people jumping up and down, shaking their hands in the air and "speaking in tongues" and then they all fall down?"
