Futbol on Sep 16

There will be a futbol game on Independance Day at 4:00 pm
It will be held at the south field on Revolucion near Ocampos. Time and location are subject to change.
I would like to invite all our supporters and those of you who have not seen the kids play to come on out and enjoy.
You can also show your support by bringing a balon de futbol.
These are available in the bicycle and sporting goods store on the north side of Felipe Angeles, between Colon and Marcos Castellanos.
This street runs parallel to the Carretera, one block north.
The Azteca number 5 are the good ones and cost 140 pesos. If you can not get to the store, I will gladly accept your donation and shop for you.
Show the kids your support. Come out and cheer them on.  

Please buy the Azteca balls at the bike shop rather than like Wilson/Voit balls available at
walmart.  The Azteca balls hold up while the Wilson/voit balls don't. Remember these kids
bang on these balls for three hours a day most days. I wasted money buying at Walmart.

There will be a women's soccer game at 2pm on Monday preceding the Union Ajijic game. Still at the lower field.

Due to the weather, the games have been CANCELLED.
I met Gio, Bebe and Ricardo this morning and Rafa inspected the field and it was waterlogged.

BUMMER, Starting to feel like Portland weather.....great for "Ducks"....even the golf course is closed.
 

The weather was the same in Seattle and they had to delay the 49ner Seahawks game because of lightning Sunday. I take that back, we had one heck of a lot less rain than you had lakeside here in cloudy Seattle

It's time to come home

Latest news (for what it's worth - it's still early), there are plans for soccer games for the Ponies and Union Ajijic this weekend. The field is still a bit swampy, but hopefully by this weekend, it will have drained enough that a game doesn't turn it into a ploughed field.
