Sunday Futbol

The boys are back in town.
On Sunday at 2:00 the ponies will play and then at 4:00 the Juvis (Inside Lakeside) will play.
The Inside Lakeside team is undefeated after the first 5 games.
Come on out and cheer for our team.    

Can I guess there might be a Labatts or two for sale???

I forgot to mention that this is at the south field (revolucion and constitucion)
No Labatts, but the patronato operates a full bar at this field and charges way less than I do for beer.
Since the money ultimately goes to our teams, I don't mind.    

Thanks for keeping us advised of the schedule! I'll try and come out to see the Juvis kick butt!

Union Ajijic is at the top of the table. Undefeated. There are scouts from Santos, Torreon coming to see this game.

I think I read some of the kids went for trials last year, did any get signed? I have only seen them play once, but was impressed by a couple of them.however i know from personal experience it takes something special to go pro. but you never know.. i hope to make it sunday.

The trials went well, but the folks at Santos wanted to see them play in real games.
The scouts will be there on Sunday, so I hope we can continue our winning ways.

We are going to try and make the 4:00pm game. Going to the car show in Chapala first.

Ran into Canuck Bob as he was getting out his extremely cool VW Bug convertible custom car. He told me that he did the customization. Wow, nice work and ride, Bob!

The ponies lost 3 to 1, but the Inside Lakeside team won 1 to 0.
It was a very exciting second half, with a "hold your breath " ending.
We remain UNDEFEATED.    

Exciting game!  Those guys they beat were BIG and physical.  Our guys were tenacious and played brilliantly on defense.  Zen was right, the game went right down to the wire!

I haven't had this much fun since I managed (not coached!) a youth soccer team in D.C.  This game was a lot more physical than our games used to be.  Biggest thing that needs work:  Keeping the ball down and under control.

Fun hour and a half, that was for sure. Sharing the game with the families and friends of the players was part of the fun. It's a really nice place to watch a soccer game and the cold beer is cheap.

Zen, a great way to make money for the team would be to sell those cool shirts to the fans.  Also, it is great for a team to see people in the stands wearing their colors.  My team, the "Lobos" made good money selling fan shirts and it was great to see our families wearing them on game day.
