SURF FISHING Empty SURF FISHING

Post by Jim W Tue Jun 04, 2013 3:45 pm

I had the opportunity to meet Chillin and Pescador over the past 4 weeks, and spent a few hours discussing equipment, techniques and best surf fishing areas in Mexico. It appears that a minimum cost for a rod, reel & basic tackle, puts you into it for around $500.00 USD. Also, an ATV would be good for most of us, as many points to fish, require a 3-5 mile hike, not to mention rough surf conditions at times.

Pescador suggested renting a Panga(boat) to fish the surf would be a better option for folks in our age group, cost around $200.00 to $400.00 USD., and a helluva lot less work.

I'm still interested in giving it a shot, but not alone! Let me know!
