That boat ride is a blast. Make sure you take your visitors on it, gives you a whole new visual perspective of the lake.

By any chance do you think this is anywhere near handicap friendly?

To enter the boat from the Ajijic pier, you have to walk on the beach in front of the old Posada under the Tequila Republic down to the water and then enter the boat. Probably not wheel chair accesible, but not that bad of a walk if you have help.

I am sure their staff would assist you on and off the taxi.

They also provide beer service and are very friendly and helpful. I was fishing on the dock when they came back from the other side of the lake and offered to give me and my boy a free ride. We are planning to take a ride across the lake with the family next week.

Yes, I would be game for a taxi swarm. Might be fun to book a coastline charter from Ajijic to Chapala and back. I think it will hold about 12 people.

I counted 15 coming off when we were there. LOL
Looked a little tight, but nobody seemed to be complaining.
Re: Tuxcueca LT Water Taxi and Charter Service
We were going to go on June 8 - and he was a no show. Did call him on his cell then (a friend was using a different number and said she could never get a hold of him) - and he said his phone was stolen and his boat had a hole in it - and he could be there the next day (Ajijic Pier) - (There were 5 of us, plus another couple waiting)
So do make sure he really is going to be there. And 15 is probably a little tight - but on a previous trip there was probably 13 or 14, Fun trip - I was just surprised to see that he was spending money on advertising (I think his ad was in the guad reporter) - and then be a no show.

I don't think that is the norm for them. They have always been at the pier at the scheduled departure times whenever we have gone across. I suppose if the boat has an issue then what can you do...........???

Well, let's set a date and take the first 15 or so folks that sign on and then go to Hotel Los Crotos for lunch. That way, in one swarm, we are helping out two businesses. I love twofers. and this would be a good one in that it would help two businesses. chico

Be careful not to overload the boat. If two of you are heavy, it might be best to count the two as three normal sized people. Do they have life jackets? It should be mandatory, but this is Mexico with no laws.
