Absolutely! China's "imported" cases now outnumber home grown but there are still very, very few.
I am sincerely hoping for short term drastic measures whereby it's kinda over in two or three months after they're put in place. An 18 month slog will be hell on everyone.

And they only had less than 3300 deaths. Not bad for a country with over a billion people. Of course it could flare up again.

Dont know whats with Italy. They have now surpassed China in deaths with less than half the cases. Different blood type???

I think that while Italy did jump on it with both feet, it took them a little too long to do it. Which will be the case here and in the US.

Median age in Italy quite a bit higher than China so many more elderly in the high risk group. Median age of Mexico is significantly lower than China. Soy joven, tengo solo 33 años!

I wouldn't nor would I buy something "just to have on hand" because that would deplete the supply for those who really need it.

I started stocking up in January and didn’t feel I was depleting supplies. The ones who waited until the last minute are the ones depleting supplies.
Getting a weeks supply to have on hand right now will give the pharmacist plenty of time to restock.. if you wait until corona hits your area you will not find them. Even if you don’t use them you will probably have a friend who might need them. Google side effects. These are common drugs. One is used for malaria and another is for respiratory infections. Zinc is a supplement.

When I’m in Mexico I use a commonly used anticoagulant, Coumadin, to kill rats. I just mix it with peanut butter and in a few days I find them dead. When humans use it they have to monitor the effects on a regular basis because it can cause serious problems. So, yes, you have to be careful when you use some medications.

Mexico now reporting 203 confirmed cases. Up from 164 earlier today. I hope they have found more test kits. I suspect we will have double the number here within a few days. Mexico is in the number 7 spot in the Americas but climbing fast.

The US is almost at 20,000. Should surpass that by tomorrow at the rate they are going.

I don't get this whole 5 day timeframe at all. What is that about? And why was yesterday the key day?

It’s a wish scenario. At first the rise in cases seems to be going up in a linear fashion but soon develops into an exponential rise. That’s when the panic sets in.

I read an article on MSN Mexico about Walmart and Soriana instructing all senior bager's to stay home. The article also stated that they are not employees but rather volunteers. Very few in Mexico have a safety net so if this outbreak gets worse then you will see a rise in crime.

No new cases in Mexico since late yesterday although China is seeing another surge as student expats return home bringing the virus with them.
