Driving instructions from Colombia updates for 2018?
Hi all, coming back to Ajijic 2018 wondering if any new pointers for routes crossing at Columbia? Did crossing 2016 but was in Portugal last year..so looking for updates and route...will probably stay in Monterrey 1st night. Thanking all in advance.

As far as I know, there are no updates to crossing at Colombia.... still very easy and fast. Open from 8:00-midnight.
Farther south there is a new western bypass of San Luis Potosi, 49D, that connects with 80/80D to Villa de Arriaga and on down to Lagos de Morino. This is not only a shorter route but takes one off of the eastern 57D bypass of that city that was fraught with bogus police stops.
Then, of course, there is the new macro libramiento that connects the Chapala highway to outside/east of Guadalajara on 80D. Well marked.
