Colombia vs Bridge II
Since we're driving up soon, I've been watching the cameras and wait times and Colombia is often clear sailing while Bridge II has long wait times almost all day. Is there something going on up there that's keeping people away from Colombia these days? Regarding safety, I mean. Or something else?

Perhaps only one of them allows commercial vehicles, which can really tie things up?

We went through Colombia today, Sunday, at 1:10 p.m. - 5 minutes. Awesome!

Suggesting that, because Colombia has been quick in the distant past, it is now always still quick is doing a disservice to folks heading that way. Since Customs border personnel have been reassigned to other crossings, mostly west, ALL crossings are being impacted at some level. I have in the last week or two seen and heard that Colombia is at times having a 3-hour wait. Other times I have seen just 40 minutes which is fine. It seems the problem is that there is large truck traffic going NOB and that is clogging the lines before the point where truck and car traffic separate. I'd suggest watching the website to see if there is a correlation between crossing time -of-day and delay.

I was watching the CBP wait times web site consistently for quite a whle before left Ajijic, and Colombia was always better thanany other.

Re: Colombia vs Bridge II
Mike, I was actually referring to comment(s) that suggest that in the Colombia bridge is the only way to go and never has a line. That may have been true before all this US border control reassignment was initiated by the current administration but is no longer a given. IMO it is not helpful to use old information for new requests when we all know that this is 'not your father's border crossing age'.
