that's where the idiots were from and the police in jocotepec warned our police they were coming and our guys were waiting for them in a nice ambush. the first idiot in front of spencer's was dead before he hit the ground as soon as he got out of the truck like he thought he was rambo.

I don't know where they were all from, but one of them was from Chapala and he still lives here, I've known him for years. After he was arrested I saw him in Soriana less than 8 months later, free as a bird. Shootouts with the Popo doesn't get you much time, evidently.
Is that a true story about the woman throwing the pin instead of the grenade? That sounds like something I would do.

There is still a poorly patched bullet hole on the outside of my bedroom wall from that shootout.

Getting back to the OP, the platoon of Fed. Gendarmes involved in the Ocotlán shootout was the same group assigned to Chapala since last month. Some very young and personable officers who interacted a lot with the locals. Heartbreaking that so many fell in the line of duty. QEPD

yes it is pretty sad that the 2 passers- by died to. What a waste of human lives..all for money..

no bullet marks on the mural either . that was a flaw in the concrete affected by a fungus that looked like bullet holes.
no firearm that i know of shoots around corners. not even goat horns.
