Construction on the Hill Empty Construction on the Hill

There hasn't been much in the way of recent conversation about the construction on the mountainside. There was an article in INFORMADOR today which seems to indicate that all permits and permissions are now in order:

Shucks. I had hoped they had gone bankrupt. Maybe the heavy rains that are coming will take care of the problem.

Unfortunately the rains will take care of it in a way that won't be too good for the residents of Vista Alegra. It will be reminiscent of the RC/SJC disaster a few years back.

I think that it will all depend on how stable or unstable the soil is. RC has particularly unstable soil especially when hit by a tromba. Similar conditions exist along the Carretera beyond Chula Vista, when driving from Ajijic to Chapala.

Not 100% sure that this is the correct Palacio Development Group but if it is, they are out of Phoenix, AZ:

From one article that I found, it appears that there are Mexican front men named as principals?

Here is a link to a previously posted article on the project:

That road is such a horror. But damn if it's not a potent Public Service Announcement to any starry-eyed foreigner with a weak bladder who's considering moving here: "Welcome to México....where ANYTHING can happen!"

Now there would be a real surprise! Here is a test: how many people are connected to this project in one form or another?
