Local Gym Recommendation

I used to work out regularly but over the years got out of the habit! Moving to Ajijic end of June and staying near LCS, can anyone recommend a workout facility within walking distance of central Ajijic?

Well, in my opinion, just walking the streets and malecon area in Central Ajijic is a really great workout routine. It is also relatively inexpensive.

To my knowledge there are 3 pretty good gyms, but 2 might be a pretty long walk.
There's the new one on the carretera heading west on the mountain side. It's new and appears to be well equipped. Shortest walk.
There's the one behind the OXXO on the libramiento, well equipped & clean, but a healthy walk.
And there's the one in Riberas by the entrance to Mirasol. Nice, but a long walk.
Be prepared to pay 400 - 500 pesos per month

There is also one directly up and a bit west from the LCS on the Caraterra. It would be about a 10 - 15 minute walk.

Also, there is some very impressive work out equipment in the park on the malecon for public use. That is only a 5 minute walk.

Gym'nos on the highway, in the heart of Ajijic, probably the least espensive. Owned by local folks, not a multi national company

I don't think there are any multi-national gyms here.
