We bought ours at Dormi Mundo. Across from Walmart in the building that houses HSBC.

Ditto. We have bought a king and two doubles there. They are all Serta. Good quality with guarantees. Not the cheapest though. You can expect to pay around $800 USD for an entry level Serta king and base.

Thanks. I was a Dormi Mundo his afternoon before I posted and saw a Dormi Mundo brand that I realy like and thought I should look around before I bought as I have not been anywhere else.
CBob the prices have gone up significantly since you bought. The Dormi Mundo brand mattress and base was 15000P. The Serta I saw was 23000 for a mattress and base. I liked the Dormi Mundo better.
I will check the new furniture store on the caraterra on the corner of Rio Bravo and the store by Sunrise and then will probably buy at that point unless someone has another idea.
Thanks for your input.

You might check at the furniture store at the stoplight intersection in Chapala. I think it's called Muebles San Francisco. Friends bought there. Not many mattresses in main store but have them take you to warehouse area where they keep them.

The Chapala Store has great Mattress'..Brand name "Wendy" The cover is Aloe Verde or Bamboo// Several friends have them and all are happy..Good Guarantee...Huge warehouse, in back of store, so you see the product. Half the price of those other mattress stores..Go have a look.

Muebles San Francisco is a very good suggestion. Wendy is a very good product.

Did you ask about sales at Dormi Mundo? Mine was expensive but turned out to be on sale. And it's the best mattress I've ever had.

Re: Recommendation for where to buy...
Disappointed but bought mattress.
I went to San Francisco today to try the bamboo mattresses. A big waste of time. They are in sealed plastic so you can not touch them. They are piled against each other vertically with none down on display.
After a bit the salesperson managed to put one of the sealed mattresses on the floor to try for firmness.
At that I gave up and went to Dormi Mundo and bought the mattress I saw the other day and tried out. It will be delivered tomorrow.

For even greater comfort, Costco carries a "Memory Foam" mattress topper which conforms to your back and makes a big difference, especially for those with a few kinks in their backs. Bought mine a few months ago and love it.
