BOAT AND TRAILER

A member of our fishing club is Permanente, just bought a new boat, trailer, with NOB plates. Has Aduana addressed issues like this, anyone know? He is probably screwed if they apply the too new to nationalize rule.

Might be a problem, does he have a spouse who can import?

what about simply paying duty?

NOPE, They are both Permanente....gotta nationalize vehicle this month...going with Pedro, can you bypass by paying duty?

Can the boat, motor, & trailer be nationalized?

what i meant was -pay the duty to nationalize. my well off mexican friends go NOB and purchase large toys constantly. paying the duty a lot of times is cheaper than buying the thing here in mexico after a dealer has done the same thing.
