In Texas they're known as koozies. I have never seen them for sale in Mexico. On the west coast you can find what I would call a "beer sleeve" but it's not a good thick koozie. Good luck!

In our opinion, beer is never cold enough in Mexico to even consider a sleeve or koozie. That is why they make hielo!

For some unknown reason, I cannot seem to envision Jim sipping on a beer.

GREAT PHOTO, Neil....where can I get this burger @ Lakeside? Looks great? LOL Who said anything about beer? You are correct....it is difficult to find extremely cold, not frozen beer in Mexico!

Make your burger at home. It will ALWAYS be better. Restaurants don't have good burgers here, further they can't cook.

In Canada we use penis cozies, that are hand knitted by the spouse.

We all have different opinions. It is nothing compared to when he owned 60's in Paradise where the burger was thick and juicy.

Do you want the shot glass size, or the tall beer size with the ball on the end?

It's nothing to compare? It's the same guy making the same burger. Actually we think it's better now with the additional condiments and sides.johninajijic wrote:RoofBob wrote:I beg to differ, the Early Bird Cafe has great hamburgers!

Jim:
You may not recognize the sign since it sits on the highway between San Miguel de Allende and Dolores Hidalgo. Definitely the best burger I have ever consumed in Mexico. I watched them run the large potato through a french fry press and they went immediately into the hot oil. Great fries too!

Ice in beer, gross, and I agree they are never cold enough.
But we call them Beer condoms and you can buy them in Ajijic right downtown on the carretera at that used consignment store that use to be by the gym and Rubens place. They have some new ones, most of the time.

Can coolers
If you know Billy O´Brian he sells wrap-around can coolers with a Lake Chapala theme. Check with Tom´s Bar or directly across the street at Chelsea´s store. Also, Tom´s has very cold beer.
