John--just saw this rumor
Something about Hacienda Ajijic steak house might close at the end of the month?
Maybe just for vacation, though. As this is one of your favorites, I figured you could check it out chop chop.
I've gotten to really like this place.

I am trying to find out from friends who go there on Thursday for the special. I know he has not been doing well. He told us that last time our Dinner Group was there.
He puts out good food. We like it very much.

OK, apparently a false alarm. Someone saw the "for rent" sign underneath the restaurant sign and thought they might be closing. Owner (Jorge) told the Rotary Club today that they are defintely not closing.
Good news.

Great news. I still think Hacienda's steaks are more tender than Tango and Tango cannot beat Hacienda's meat day on Thursday for $ 99 pesos for a much larger Filet than Tango. Bruno's is good too. I put them at number 2.
One of our Dinner Group gals had the best looking Filet at Yves with brandy mushroom sauce served on the side. She said it was the "best" Filet that she has had at Lakeside. I saw it and believe her.

The chicken with the brandy mushroom sauce is as good as the filet.
