You mean the Guess Who, and we know where they're from I don't know if Daltry or Townsend know how to skate... but I know Burton and Bachman sure do. They lived just down the street.

Re: Need a computer expert
Daltry - doubt it.
Townsend - maybe but would likely smash the goaltender's net when he got near it.
Cummings - can likely only skate when people stand and applaud as he does it.
Bachman - can definitely skate but the ice heals itself as he passes.

Re: Need a computer expert
Hi: am new to forum.
Have used the the WITOPIA Cloakbox Pro with great success for about 10 months. It is a hardware VPN router that provides WiFi as well as ethernet connections. Currently, they will only ship to US address. One can seem to be in many palces in the US as well as other parts of the world, including Mexico City.
I can run Netflix (USA) Pandora, Amazon Prime, etc. I notice about 20% degredation in speed when using the VPN. I can hook up my computers and handheld devices on either side of the VPN, depending on what I am doing.
However, there is a cost for the hardware, and an annual subscription is required.

Axixic, you can get Shaw Satellite down here and watch every game there is.
Yea you can see just about every Toronto game on Shaw
117,118,119,120 or 309HD if you pay for it.
You can see the cubs play on the weekend usually on WGN.
271 or 342 HD
They usually have about 4 or 5 non Toronto games a week
especially on the west coast feed which is 120. Usually it
is after the Toronto game.
Anybody knows if the US main networks still show baseball?
I know in Seattle we have to buy the local sports network
(ROOT) to get the majority of the games.

"The Who" did "my generation" and "Magic Bus"
and a whole pile of other hit songs. Very English.
Known for destroying equipment.
"The Guess Who" did "American Woman" which my
American wife just hated LOL and one other
hit song I can't remember.
Now I notice you quoted Bachman.
Could that be BTO or Bachman Turner overdrive??
Taking care of Business and a couple of other
in there hot years around 75 or so. I thnk they
had three huge hits. I remember playing them a
lot on the radio.

-Laughing
-Undun
-No Time
-No Sugar Tonight
-Hand Me Down World
-Share The Land
- and many more, all big hits in Canada. I guess my American cousins missed out...

They made the hits chart in the US also. Kind of the Celine Dion of rock, too syrupy to rank with the great bands of the day.

Yes bigger hit in Canada than US and more than I thought but not bad considering I did it from Memory not the internet LOL.
I think the Guess Who was probably less appreciated than it should have been. It is an impressive lists of songs by any measure.
There music was played on both AM and FM Album oriented Radio (AOR format) which was a little unusual. I am not sure syrupy
is the right word. Share the land is a great song with nice strong harmonies not syrupy at all. I give it a 9 out of 10 easy to
dance to if you folks remember your American Bandstand. Me I was listening to Soul Train LOL.

Re: Need a computer expert
Just pulled "The Best of the Guess Who" out of my disc collection. Considering the order of the songs, I'm guessing that Helperguy has the same one. He missed mentioning "Bus Rider", "Do you miss me Darlin'" and "Hang on to your life". :) Maybe not favourites of yours?
I remember visiting friends in Detroit in the late 60's and they used to BLAST American Woman...absolutely loved it.
We were lucky to have the choice of great music that we did growing up...still sounds great today.

Re: Need a computer expert
I have pretty much everything they did including re-releases and Best Ofs, plus a lot of Burton Cummings' solo stuff. I figured there was no point listing everything here... those who know, already know, like you do; those who don't, probably don't care much. (Rain Dance, Clap for the Wolfman, Guns-Guns-Guns.........)
Got to dance to them in Pembroke before they broke big time; saw them years later in Ottawa for their reunion tour, after Randy lost all that weight.

Re: Need a computer expert
Its an old thread here but I'll add my comments as well...
yeah a
vpn is what you need.
(virtual private network)
I'd be interested to know though what the firmware you want to flash has in it that would make you appear to be in the US.
Anyway... VPN is the easiest route (IMHO) to get your desired result.
