What date will it rain?

What date will the rainy season begin, plus or minus 3 days? Not an occasional storm like a couple nights ago.

My guess is June 12???

Looking a lot like it might be today. I have an early warning system, a British husband who has extensive experience in rain forecasting. Plus, one of the rainbirds took up residence in our house after the short but impressive rain and hail storm on friday night. Little beggar refused to leave and had to be taken out in a paper towel to join his friends.

Oh yes, D.H. also predicts, FWIW, a long and very heavy rainy season.

June 14 at 4:00 p.m.

My best friend says June 9 but I’m for June 12 around midnight. O.K. John it’s time to get more specific. Determining factor is ½ inch recorded at that station by Steve B. whatever.

I'm betting on June 13th.

I say the 9th. It's almost always the 2nd week of June.

Our gardener, who's lakeside roots predate the Toltec, says the first big rain will start on June 14th at 7:57 p.m. in Ajijic and a few minutes later in Chapala.

Actually Ricardo's family living lakeside predates the Olmec but he doesn't like to brag and this year the first big rain will come from the north-north west at 41 kph.

$ 5.70 US is an expensive car wash! And you pay $ 12 - $ 15 in the States! But you pay your maid $ 50 pesos an hour who has no overhead, no utility bills, no taxes, no water bills, no insurance?? Nice comparison.

If you think the $ 80 pesos is expensive for your car wash you should be paying your maid $ 30 pesos an hour.

Does not matter whether you're an American, you missed the point that $ 80 pesos is dirt cheap for a car wash. What do car washes cost where you come from? More or less than the US?

ANY amount paid for a car wash is expensive when compared to free (as in rained upon). I think THAT was the point.

When you go on a public forum and tell everyone you are taking your car to an expensive car wash, aren't you kind of making it everybody's business and indirectly, if not overtly, asking for other opinions.
I have never understood why people who go public with any event in their lives on these forums wonder why they get responses.

No dear, I am simply making a statement that when I get my car washed, regardless of price, it always rains, and I could have got it for free, as previously and eloquently explained by Axixic.
I never ask for opinions unless I know the person really well and also know that they are an expert in the subject.

Maybe it's a Canadian thing.
