Yes, felt that too! Felt kind of like the house lurched to one side for one second. Weird. We weren't sure what it was if you know what I mean?

I waited for the boom and bang, when it didn't come asked DH what he was doing out in the garage and he told me it was a quake. Big one. Off to look for cracks.

Ya, we were a little freaked out too. Last time our house shook like this was when a couple of gernades went off at the hacienda steak house months ago.

That's funny, 'cause that's we thought the same thing. There was no boom though, so I'm guessing an earthquake?

Felt it in Los Arroyos Sur too. It felt like a bomb going off. Never felt anything like that, but we're from New England and don't have any like Calif.

Usually it's a little tremor and the ceiling fans and lights swing back and forth.

No cracks. Nada. Just hope the pool and pool piping is OK tomorrow.

I would like to hear from others who live away from the West Ajijic area.

Short and like a wave across the terrace here in Rancho. Freaked me out a bit and I am from earthquake country. The pool water splashed around and the huge wrought iron chandelier swayed.

It is interesting nothing was swinging like it usually does, when it started I looked at the chandelier and nothing. It was like a sharp up and down movement. Unusual.

Nothing swayed here like usual. Our sliders are wide open, but didn't hear any pool water splashing. I wasn't sure what it was, so I called CBob and he told me.

Now upgraded to a 4.5, 6 km north of Jocotopec. Google "servicio sismologico nacional" if you are interested in the local seismology report.
Also, "national geological survey" for worldwide data.

The noise was indeed weird. Short up and down...somebody said it sounded like somebody running across the roof...maybe that was tiles going up and down? Dunno, haven't felt one like that before.
In West Ajijic below the highway (but don't tell John). :)

The house I live in is not the most well constructed. I am surprised that all the walls are still standing, even after a short fast roll like that one was. Beer
