Mexico’s Puente Baluarte, the world’s tallest cable-stayed bridge, now officially open
Just yesterday, President Calderón inaugurated the Puente Balarde, the world’s tallest cable-stayed bridge:

While the bridge is complete, the highway connecting Durango and Mazatlan won't be finished until later in the year.

For years we considered an alternate route when coming down from New Mexico that might have been more interesting of a drive. The Durango to Mazatlan route was interesting but we just never did it. These days, we would think twice because of incidents (often unpublicized that happen). Keep in mind that this is Chap territory!

I promise to only drive during the daylight. Maybe we'll do this one together one day....jaja.
