I remember the best Christmas I had as a kid, I got a stick with a nail in it! Was I ever excited! The nail was bent a little, but the stick was OK! What's your best?

Best Christmas Ever Empty Re: Best Christmas Ever

When I was 8 or 9, my sister and I wouldn't go to sleep so my father decided to grab some bells and walk around the house (so we would think Santa was there). He got right under the window of the room we were in and slipped on ice and fell. All we heard was the supposed bells of Santa and then a lot of cursing, him hitting the house, and throwing things...all with the bells going wild. My sister feared Santa for years after.
Maybe not the best, but definitely the most memorable.

A new bicycle. Only had used ones before. It was a huge sacrifice by our rather financially challenged parents that I didn't fully appreciate until years later. God bless them both.

She must of been a Jehovah's Witness, they don't celebrate much of anything that I know of.

This was our best Christmas. Everyone in my family said it was. It was the best for me because my husband said I made it special & he appreciated me...melt my heart. The Christmas Eve Candlelight Service was the best ever! Absolutely beautiful & the music was amazing. Dressing up Christmas morning. We're blessed to live in a country where Jesus of Nazareth's birth is still announced & demonstrated in public places. I enjoy seeing the life size nativity at Plaza Andares.

Another thing when I was young my brother and I were picked on, were the outcasts and many nasty things said about us, because of this religion and then I come down here and meet someone who treats me the same way as what I had to grow up to.

Solution to that. Refuse to let it bother you because you know the truth. Don't worry what he says.

Best Christmas ever, the year I left husband number one and moved in with the second and final Mr. Raq. There was BTW a short interval, prior to the blessed event.

So much easier said than done. This is what most calls “baggage”.

Em, no, i haven't had much time for movies. Do you realize what haboring unforgiveness/offenses does to a persons body? People can get sick with cancers and other illnesses. It's not easy but once you learn how to forgive, life is a lot more joyful.

Forgiveness means you get to let it go. The offense is still on them unless they ask for forgiveness but if you're a forgiving person, offenses won't eat you up inside. You let the offender off the hook. I look at it this way, of course I'm not out to offend/hurt people but surely my actions and words have offended some at one time or another. I desire to have room for error and be forgiven and extend the same courtesy to others. Those who are set on destroying the reputation of others only destroy themselves. Look, I got Someone bigger to answer to and so will they so let Someone else deal with them, I got better things to do. Get it?

O.K. Like I stated before, you’re watching too many movies. People have to deal with grief first before they can deal with forgiveness. For some the hurt is just too much and I personally feel and agree that in order to move on with their lives it’s about accepting what happened and moving away from those that created the hurt. Sometimes in life the ugliness that others create is not forgivable and trying to think so is just naive.

Getting past the past when you are young can happen but you never forget, but for an adult to do it to another adult is not ever to be forgotten or forgiven.
