A prayer or two for Pedro
I know I know but he's going in for an angioplasty tomorrow. I wish him the best, a speedy recovery and thought you might too.

Don't know the guy, but mine had one a few years back. It worked out fine, but he had one heckuva bruise for many weeks afterwards. Papaya enzymes helped.
So, good luck.

Re: A prayer or two for Pedro
Not sure what the last procedure was, he does have some stents but this will be one of those balloon deals.

If there's a cute nurse he'll be sure to get pictures.

Hopefully he'll be back to his ornery old self real soon. Best wishes for a quick recovery Pedro.

Cute nurses wearing short uniforms shouldn't be allowed around heart patients...puts the patient's blood pressure through the roof.

Balloon angioplasty is part of the procedure for insertion of stents. That's what enlarges the artery large enough to accept the stent. In a year or two he will probably need a bypass. I went through the same process. Could have saved a lot of pain (and money) if they had gone for the bypass first.
Best of luck to Pedro, an angioplasty is a whole lot less painful than a bypass.

As moderator of TOB, I jousted with Pedro for over 5 years. I must have banned him 12 or 15 times. He always found a way back. It was some of the most fun I had; getting up in the morning and trying to assertain which of the new names was really Pedro. Privately our correspondence was a bit more congenial.
Pedro can be a roaring pain in the ass at times, but he usually is intertaining.
I echo Dawg's sentimemts.

Uncle Jack:
It pleases me immensely to see that you are still here after the passing of your favorite bride a few years ago which I can remember as a devastating event even if it it must have come to pass. We in Ajijic miss you old friend and will likewise miss the curmudgeon Pedro if he is to leave us which may or may not be what we face at present but surely faces us all down the road a short distance from here.
These morons we will leave behind will suffer from our absence but they won´t know it so screw them.

You may be a Pain-In-The-Arse, Pedro, but I can't hold a grudge against someone so obviously damaged, even if you did do it to yourself.
And Yvonne deserves only the best in life.
Good luck Pedro. Hope you get through this in good style. Lizzy

Re: A prayer or two for Pedro
Update on Pedro paraphrased from Yvonne's email.
If things go as planned Pedro should be ready for rescue tomorrow
The doc seems to think that any further surgery is not needed, just a change in meds
Because of the incision in the groin, he's not allowed to move at all so they're keeping him until he gets the green light.
Nice to see people wishing the old sob well.
He'd probably think you are all a bunch of sissies, but then that's Pedro.
Saludos
