I noticed on the other board that Pedro has passed away. We didn't get along but near his end of life we spoke frequently regarding his condition as my wife suffers similar symptoms.

Hidden just below the surface was a surprisingly friendly fellow. I am sorry for the way he died. RIP

I agree. Very much a two sided coin and he didn't mince words. One of a kind. I hope he enjoyed that last puro and cerveza. My sincere condolences to his wife and family.

I suspect some of his more extreme testiness near the end was due to how he was feeling and he must have been suffering with his illnesses. May he now RIP pain free.

As I said on TOB, we should all be so lucky as to remain lucid and irreverent till the end. In spite of his failing health, he was never boring!
