Doesn't sound like 'vandalism' to me.   More likely a concerted effort to hide criminal activity.

The State Security Coordination reports that in total there were 12 C5 monitoring points that were intentionally damaged during the last hours.

Of the total number of damaged poles, 10 are located on the Chapala-Jocotepec corridor and the other two in the municipality of Tepatitlán.
In the case of the posts located on the Chapala Jocotepec corridor, nine of them were damaged in the foundation, which caused the structures to fall down.

The statement issued by the state authorities assures that since they became aware of the damage to the C5 poles, the technicians began to restore them, in addition to the fact that the prosecutor's office began with the corresponding investigation folders.

So far this six-year term, 194 C5 poles have been intentionally damaged and not a single detainee has been arrested for these events. (By José Luis Escamilla)

And now there's lots of police presence HERE instead of WHERE the cartel really doesn't want them to be.
