Looking for quiet restaurant
Is there any restaurant at Lakeside where we can find a QUIET, serene atmosphere with good food and good service and low volume music that allows you to talk and be heard?

Live music is pretty common here especially high season. It is best to check with restaurant via FB or websites, if they are up-to-date or call them. Here are some suggestions of eateries with good food with normally low volume, all in Ajijic.
Lobo de Mar has live music from time to time on weekends; they announce on FB page. https://www.facebook.com/lobodemarmariscos/
Baja Norte had been doing live mariachi on Wed. in high season; last night Friday, they had mariachi, too. They announce music on FB https://www.facebook.com/BajaNorteFoodBar/
Cocinart rarely has live music, indoors can get loud if large groups are there; if you want a patio table you should reserve.

Tabarka almost never live music. Great seafood, can be slow if busy. They have FB page but never update it.
Teocintle Maiz never live music. Reservations suggested. https://www.facebook.com/maizteocintle/
Pedro's Go Bistro has a few nights with no music, a few nights with a harp trio. They spell it out in ads in Ojo del Lago. https://www.gobistro.net/
Tango doesn't have live music but due to crowds most nights, can be noisy.
Goshas is on carretera but doesn't get huge amount of road noise due to walls, setback. No live music that I know of.
Two places with good food and no music are Gossips and Blue Rose, but both suffer from road noise; Blue Rose is next door to a metal shop that sometimes works late.

Yves restaurant in West Ajijic... on the south lateral of the highway. Nice quiet garden environment. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Not fancy. Not expensive. Not world class cuisine either. Just good basic food.

Their inside seating is what we choose because it's not only quiet but has comfortable equipale chairs.
When the music is on, we are usually the only people inside, so we just turn the inside speakers off.
I like the fact that their food is made from scratch and is very fresh.

They are very accommodating when the canned music is on. No problems turning it down any time. But, you can also choose a table on the far side of the garden and you'll never hear it anyway. Before Covid, a group of us were always there on Sundays for brunch. Used to go there for lunch frequently with my hubby when we lived in La Huerta. Love their BLT.
