Cruz Roja Empty Cruz Roja

Post by Viajero-Tiempo Mon Oct 10, 2011 8:21 am

Just saw an article in Guad Reporter about the dire financial condition of Cruz Roja.

They have been there waiting for my emergency - happily, we've not had to use their services yet. But, no doubt, we will one day.

What if all their services are terminated for lack of funds?
What then?

What are you going to do.
Contribute?
Volunteer?
Justify inaction because you think someone else didn't pay for CR services?
Justify inaction because you think the CR staff is too big and overpaid?

What are YOU going to do now.
What are YOU going to do next week, next month and next year?

Thank you

Contribute - Contribute - Contribute - Contribute, if you want to see the Ambulance service saved. They will be working with Gated Communities and Fraccs to collect money. Also, Mexican businesses.

Or take a Cruz Roja bus trip. See the Event Page for details of the next trip to the zoo and Galerias Mall.

Did you know your Cruz Roja donations are tax deductible in the US and Canada? I saw Charlie Klestadt yesterday in Pannina restaurant - he is the guy wearing the necklaces for sale (his wife makes them and donates them to CR). I made my donation - for me easier than going to LCS. He also carries a receipt book if you want a tax deductible receipt. I often find him Tuesday at Pannina and many days in front of Superlake.

Yesterday a woman fell and hit he head on a cement poll on her way to LCS to make a donation. People standing by called Cruz Roja which responded immediately and took her to CR clinic for stabilization. She now plans to donate monthly.

Please donate: the life you save may be your own!
