LCS Health Fair Oct. 11 & 12

On October 11 and 12 between 10:00 am - 1:00 pm the Lake Chapala Society (LCS) will host its semi-annual Health Fair. Various health screenings, lab tests and presentations from medical and health professionals will be offered. There is no entry fee for the Health Fair and all Lakeside residents are encouraged to attend.

Free health screenings including blood pressure checks, diabetes testing, hearing tests and cancer screenings will be available. Care Lab will be offering lipid profile and HbA1c tests, and Lake Med Pharmacy will be offering pneumonia, tetanus and flu shots for a small fee.

Two lectures on specific health information for Lakeside residents will be presented. On Tuesday Dr. Bernie Metcalf will discuss "Immunizations for the Elderly", as well as specific recommendations for living fulltime in Mexico. On Wednesday Erik Slebos will present "End of Life Planning: Four Essential Documents".
