Friends spent $100,000 CAD in Guadalajara hospital when their dad got covid 1 1/2 years ago. Unfortunately he didn't make it. Medical costs in Mexico have skyrocketed in the past 10 years.

I mentioned, last fall after Canadian Thanksgiving, that I would no longer be joining the same friends at Adelita's once a week because of the attitude of one person. I found out at that dinner that he was unvaccinated. It wasn't so much that statement but his attitude in general that helped to make the decision. He said he only took precautions when he had to do so. He also stated that he had a very strong immune system and had never been sick in his life. I stated that it wasn't about HIM. Haven't seen that couple since but recently started to get together with the others who are all double vaxxed... one of whom is a cancer patient.

Just got a very sobering e-mail. The "never been sick in my life" gentleman MAY be able to return home with oxygen in the next few days. His wife (whom he brought Covid home to) is being transferred to Hospital Civil in Guadalajara. She is not expected to make it. The friend who sent me the e-mail had to explain those facts to him. She said the devastation in his eyes was unfathomable. He will never get over this even if he recovers himself.

Please. It's not about you. Please take precautions. We are all in this together.
