Yea...I think I caught it Saturday night. My girlfriend came by and then kept me up most of the night, coughing loudly and running off to the bathroom every 10 minutes. I slept on the sofa and was glad to see her leave in the morning. By Wednesday, I had a fever, sore throat, diarrhea and fatigue. Then a constant "dry" cough set in and lasted throughout the night. Never had a cough like that before. Feeling much better today...but still fatigued.

Anyone who came to my house, regardless of whether they were a lover, friend or relative who was obviously sick would be asked to immediately leave

Sleeping on the sofa is no protection. She spread the virus all over your house just by coughing. Nice that your girfriend cares about you so much that she'd come over with COVID symptoms.

But I do hope you recover without ending up in the hospital.

Huh? He said she was coughing all night. Now four days later, he's sick, too.

She came by tonight (Thursday). Told me her family had kicked her out of the house and she needed a place to sleep. I told her "vete" and wouldn't open the door. It's a hard call to turn down a friend who truly needs help.

What I find strange is Mexico basically has no restrictions other than masks and some large venues yet places like Canada that are almost completely shut down are raging yet you hear nothing about Mexico.....go figure.

True but places like Brazil and India are raging too.

All these fancy colorful news sheets that are printed do not reflect anywhere near the 300,000+ deaths that have actually happened.
You have seen and experienced first hand the fiasco of distribution, people running all over the place like a chicken with their heads cut off, trying to obtain a shot.
When you have a serious problem like Covid and live in a 3rd world country you better pray harder

No I don't trust the Mexican authorities however there are many AP reporters around Mexico who would be telling the story of overwhelmed hospitals, bodies in the streets etc, etc but we aren't hearing that.
