It´s neither here nor there………...I think…….
And if you lived "out there", would this still be "here"???

lol. No. What I should have asked is are there any posters on this forum living in San Nicolas or Santa Cruz? If so, how do you like living there? How is the internet availability?

However, if everyone stuck to the question how boring would that be?

Hah! Yeah.
Talked to a woman who lives in SN centro and has better internet than I do in SA. She gets 8 down - I get 5. TelMex.

No thanks. If you like Texas, then go for it. I am content here in Mexico and I do not disparage those who prefer Texas. Dirt is dirt so go wherever you are content.

Re: San Nicolas/Santa Cruz
I knew a couple that built a house in San Nicolas. They loved it. Property was cheaper there but a bit farther to drive to many stores.

We live in Santa Cruz de la Soledad. We quite enjoy it. 20 min to downtown Ajijic. 7 min to Soriana or Chapala Malecon... Telmex Infinitum never made it to Santa Cruz. However, Spiderweb has strung fiber optic throughout town. I pay aprox $900 pesos for 18 mbps download and around 5 mbps upload. Steady and reliable.

Do you travel by helicopter? I live near the corner of Pepe Gazar and where the Mezcala Highway begins. It takes me at least 10 minutes to get to Soriana and about 30 minutes to Ajijic Centro. It used to take me 15 minutes to Ajijic and five minutes to Soriana before increased TRAFFIC became an issue. It just gets worse and worse.

Re: San Nicolas/Santa Cruz
yes with the trafic now , you just cannot rely on the timing for distances from 10 years or 20 years ago.. I was 5mn from Ajijic Centro or less now it can be 15 or 20. Jococtepec was 20minutes away , no more...
