The lake level has stopped rising-levelled out? It is already about 1/2 meter above the 2017 high but about 1/2 meter below the 2018 high.

Still a long way to go. I hear they are calling for a very late rainy season this year. Probably another 3 months.

History would be repeating itself if that happens, CB. When we moved here in 2001, the lake level had receded so much that we could walk over dry beaten paths and roads passing by mature trees and bushes long having grown on land that once had been underwater, from our new home in Six Corners to San Juan and perhaps could have hiked all the way to Jocotepec but we could never get beyond that line of bars along the beach just before San Juan for a few sips. Buses were required to take tourists a significant distance from the previous Chapala shoreline to launches in order for them to board a launch for Scorpion Island. In 2004, after an ordinary rainy season, huge and repeated rains came and the lake refilled significantly. These overland jaunts to San Juan came to a halt in the absence of water wings. . The copious late rains that refilled the lake which was predicted by many to dry up completely and be gone forever in 2001, came in September and October, 2004. Or perhaps it was 2005. Bubba is getting old.

2007 was the year of all the flooding in the SJC area during the month of September.

I noticed that the "Lake Level" app on the Quick Jump Menu has not been working for a while.
Are there any other web sites showing the current lake level?

Unfortunately that website is till not working properly. For me the most important page was the level for the last 3 years. It says that site is not safe.

We first came to Lakeside last November and found the house we are now living in. It is a lake front home just west of San Juan Cosala and the water was at least 5-6 feet higher then and probably more actually. We were a bit worried about lake level over the 10 months that we were leasing the home and not here yet but I don't think we have anything to worry about this year at least:-) Love being here and living on the lake even with the changing flow of lirio daily is absolutely wonderful!

You say the lake was 6 feet (2 metros + o -) higher one year ago?  That doesn´t seem quite right to me but without actual measurements, can´t say for sure.
Anyone else have an opinion?...….CBob, you watch the lake rather closely?

The lake was at least a meter higher this time last year. Don't think 2 meters. That would be flood territory.

I found a way into Agua jalisco and the lake is currently sitting at 96.28. Last years high was 98.16 at the end of November.

We have a big wall at the lake edge of our home here. When we left in December the water level was 4'2" lower than the top of our wall making me nervous about any significant water level rise. Today the water level is 10'5" lower than the top of our wall. That is 6'3" lower than when we were here in December. Just my observations on lake level at our home about 2 km west of San Juan Cosala.

We still have a while to go so it may get to that height again if we get continued rains through Oct and Nov.
