They've been finding snakes inside pool noodles in the States so check before you start floating around on them.

Re: Dark Clouds
Actually it's 11 hurricanes predicted, not 9, as I had stated above.

Re: Dark Clouds
Well, CB, two things. There is already severe drought in much of Mexico including where we live in Chiapas but, as I understand it, not yet in this part of Jalisco around Lake Chapala. As for hurricanes, I was raised on the Gulf Coast of Alabama and lived and worked in Mobile for some time while residing on Mobile Bay just up from Dauphin Island. So, I lived on that hurricane prone coast for a number of years and from time to time we had some unforgettable and massively destructive storms. From personal experience I can state without equivocation that hurricane prognostications, while based on some reliable data, are as worthless at this time of year as tits on a boar hog. Pretty to gaze upon but no milk.
On the other hand, Bubba has spent some time in British Colombia, which, as I understand it, is from whence you come and I feel confident in predicting few if any hurricanes thereabouts this fall. Perhaps a bit of rain.

By the way, CB, speaking of hurricanes,Dauphin Island in what is now
Alabama, was the first capital of French Louisiana until an especially fierce hurricane blew it away resulting in their moving the capital to what is now Louisiana.

Re: Dark Clouds
Ah, yes, ferret, love conquers all. Brigitte and I met in Mobile back in 1971 and hit it off big time. Decided to head for a night or two down to Dauphin Island and spend some time on the beach there. We loaded up our bathing suits and the necessary wine inventory and rented a motel room right on the beach but damn if I can remember ever taking a swim in the Gulf. I guess we were preoccupied.
