"THE" NEW HOSPITAL - RBC (Ribera Medical Center)

No matter how hard the owner, investor, etc. tries, construction seems to always take longer than expected. So if the construction only takes 30 days longer than promised by the builder, that is darn good, here in Mexico

I always understood it had to be completed by the end of the year because that is when the permit to build expires.

That is true. Any major construction activities should be completed by then.

I can understand all that. In fact many of us were surprised when chapalamed insisted in multiple posts that construction would be completed by December 1st because it “had to be”. The opening has also moved from January to February. I am not concerned with his misjudgments about construction projects. They won’t injure or kill people. It’s just a building.

Isn´t this thread getting a little overly wrought-up about the opening date of this second new hospital in the area?  We already have one functioning new hospital in SAT, and we are not hours or hundreds of kilometers away from GDL with many fine hospitals. You would think we were in the middle of a jungle in the Congo with desperation for a hospital.  
This is the land of mañana, especially for construction, and they have progressed far enough I don´t think they are leaving town.
