All too often, I read about dogs being intentionally poisoned (or worse, glass shards wrapped in ham), anyone with a dog they care about should Google "Poison Proof Dog. There are many ways and they all seem to have merit.

Please don't wait until it's too late.

One of my neighbors has 14 dogs that bark all day while she's at work,I think it might be that type of situation that accounts for some of the dog poisonings.

There is a point where non-stop barking causes madness in the neighbors. Lived in that situation in SMA. One day, the dog disappeared. Since we were the only foreigners in the barrio, I'm assuming my Mexican neighbors took action.

It is common for a dog to suddenly die because its owner failed to get a parvo vaccination. Ask them where the dog went and they will say it was poisoned.

Yes, that being death. You will not convince many Mexicans it might be due to their neglect.

If every non-stop barker on our block were to "disappear",it wouldn't bother me in the least.

Usually, but admittedly not always, dogs bark for a reason. Sometimes it's someone/something around their "territory," that this can be an "alert" to you.

Dogs can hear/sense an "intruder" long before we can. More than once, my two little ones would bark up a storm, and I would look and find a cow or two wandering on the street in front of the house. Same when someone comes up to the door.

Just a thought.

Non-stop barking is of no benefit to anyone, ever.

I should probably stay away from this thread, as I recently got banned from the American Legion just for joking about the subject, but I agree with the ability of non-stop barking to drive someone crazy. My neighbor, who has a chihuahua which sits out on their patio day and night (might as well be in my living room) and makes my life a misery, has just been joined by a new, younger version, which is somehow even more maddening the first one. I'm seriously considering moving just to get away from them. Notice that I said moving, not poisoning, because that's not something rational people do. Although to hear someone tell it, I'm a bloodthirsty savage who likes to talk about dragging dogs down the street by their entrails. Beware crazy dog people. They hear what they want to hear.
