Wow! That is expensive stuff! It appears to be paint with random fibers that can be applied with a roller. Better than just paint, but not nearly as good as the local process:
Ask your painter to apply “membrana con el impermiabalizante“ for a much better result at a much lower cost. The membrane is a fiberglass mat, which is applied with the 3 or 5 year Fester roof waterproofing paint. It works well.

I agree with impermiabalizante and mat. I used a no-name 7 year and the thin mat. Mat only on trouble spots, corners and thru pipes. impermiabalizante everywhere

not recommended for roofs because of temp flucuation.

Thank you! I'm so glad that there's a work around! I have bathroom that roughed in and needs completing. I thought I'll never get this done at those prices.

A five gallon of no name 7 year impermiabalizante was about 800 pesos. I forget the cost of the mat

Careful if you'll eventually put down tile because you'll need a clean cement surface
