barriers la floresta
just been to the delegado in san Antonio to complain. they are going to speak with ajijic as it comes under their jurisdiction. would be good if a few others can go to the plaza in san Antonio and complain as well. they are very nice but I don't think they speak English. so please just say something like..derepente hay barreras en ramon corona cerca de la floresta. pienso es ilegal a cerrar la carretera porque es publico. puedes hacer algo ? gracias.
also maybe go to ajijic if its closer.. if anyone can please post on tob please do so.

I notice on tob , quite a few people very unhappy, can we organize for a few of us to go to la floresta assoc. and discuss matters? one person alone is not going to achieve much..plus as I posted above maybe something will happen because of my complaint but the more the better..

Seems to me that this should be brought up with Chapala. Has anyone talked with Hector? I can't see complaining to la Floresta really accomplishing anything.

Re: barriers in la floresta
I don't understand the logic behind blocking the Ramon Corona entrance to Lower La Floresta and leaving all the entrances off the Carretera untouched...do they think criminals would ONLY be arriving in a car from San Antonio? and at night? I just don't get it. I will visit the Delagado in San Antonio, and thanks for the translated suggestions.

Hickton, I'm wondering how you personally have been inconvenienced by these LF gates? Has your passage been blocked? Have you met with workers who have not allowed you to pass through the gates?

Re: barriers in la floresta
I am asking because I have yet to see the gates closed. Therefore, I personally, have nothing to complain to anyone about regarding these gates. ymmv

Re: barriers in la floresta
yes i agree, me neither, but this week i havent been out late or left early. but according to my neighbour it did happen.. . i still dont understand the logic of them anyway. closing one street and not the other entrances /exits from caraterra makes no sense at all.would be interesting to know from delegado if he is aware of the erection of them and the possible consequences.

Logic? Possible consequences?

Re: barriers in la floresta
Mexicans do not worry about things like those gates. They know that soon enough something will happen to the gates and they will disappear as quickly as they arrived. It might be through legal channels. It might be more "organic." But, they will become nothing more than a part of local folklore. "Remember the time they tried putting barriers across Camino Real in La Floresta? Oh, you didn't live here then? Well, you see...."

They will come down soon, or they may put up additional barriers. I think they will be taken down. Wait untill Easter vacation passes.

Re: barriers in la floresta
Last evening at 9:30 PM, after watching a movie at Red Piano, on my drive back home, I encountered the road barriers at Revolucion, in the down and locked position, on Camino Real, as I live just beyond the La Floresta line at Villa Formoso on Ramon Carona. So, once again, the third time this week, I had to drive up north to the Carretera, head east until I passed WalMart, then head south on a dirt road into San Antonio, then head west once again on Ramon Corona, where the entrance to Villa Formoso is, which by the way is just 10 feet from a second set of barriers that were also down in the locked position. So, do these gates effect some people? the simple answer for me is YES.

I am curious as to what the results were when confronting the Mexican authorities. Any news?

Libertad is the first N-S street on the west edge of San Antonio...don't think it is dirt.

After Villa Fomosa, about 2 or 3 houses past you will come to a dirt road. Why is Monday a holiday?
