Looking for Book Club in Chapala

We are new to the area and are looking for people with similar interests; specifically, my wife is looking for a book club that meets in Chapala. We know of some in Ajijic but have not heard of any that meet in or near Chapala. Thoughts / suggestions / ideas...

Contact gringal, a contributor to this forum. She is a member of a book club and can offer advice and direction.

The best route is to advertise your desire to START a book club in your area by posting on one of these local web boards, since most of the ones I know of have limited their membership and one would need to wait for a vacancy.  Suggest a field of interest in your post: i.e. biography, award winning books, science fiction, etc.
Ask people to PM you and go from there.

A science fiction book club was started about 18 months ago and now we have an average of ten to twelve attendees at each meeting. Anyone who wishes to join, please PM me.

Thanks for the offer but I am looking for a more varied type of book club. I will probably be starting one in the next few weeks.

That is what I did when I could not find a science fiction club. You should find others that are interested.
