Rey Taco in Chapala

I recently received an email from Marco, owner/chef at Rey Taco.   I thought I would share it with you as my husband and I really enjoy his food, plus he and his wife are very nice people and deserving of our support.   By the way we had a very good Thanksgiving dinner there this year.    
 

Here is Marco's information:


2x1 margaritas all the time from 12: to 8:00 p.m
wednesday all you can eat BBQ Buffet... 2x1 only $200 pesos 2 people
BBQ pork ribs, garlic BBQ chicken, chorizo, scallop potatoes, baked beans, salad bar, and coleslaw

friday 2x1 dinners with music only $130.ºº
veal bourgignon served with mashed potatoes
fillet off flounder veracruzane served with vegetables and rice medley
chicken coq au vin served with mashed potatoes
homemade buns...

take outs for Christmas and New years eve.. available (all types of meals)
turkey all sides, roast pork, roast beef, etc cheap and good etc

Yes.

He is great! Every so often he does a pit-roasted pig that is the best pork I have ever eaten! His B-B-Q buffets are outstanding too. Last week, I met some friends there for a two-for-one dinner. He had two musicians who were outstanding. Saxophone and keyboard. It was delightful.

Where is he located?

He is behind Soriana´s. If you are on Pepe Gazar heading up towards Soriana´s, turn right onto the street that runs along the back of the cemetery. Just go straight, past the left turn that takes you to Soriana, and up the short hill. Rey Taco is at the top of that hill on the right. There is a sign you can see as you approach the corner house. It has a chain link fence with privacy plastic strips woven through it.
If you approach from the main street heading up to Soriana´s, turn right onto Pepe Gazar and then your first left.

Went there tonite... Great Ribs & the price was right.... operated by a very nice young couple.

We shall return!!

Friends went there last week and raved. I have eaten there before, will add it to my list again.
