The Oldie...that's a Newbie
Hola a todos
Permítanme presentarles a mi auto...
Well that ought to confuse some of you, I only wish I could speak Spanish that well, I will admit right now so you all know that I am not beyond using a Spanish translation site to WOW the masses.
Say hello to SnowDaddy if you will, a nickname bestowed upon me some time ago by an individual with a sick & twisted mind. But for some reason it stuck...oh well.
I am considering moving to the area sometime in the near future.
I have been to the Chapala area a couple of times, in the last couple of years and had the pleasure of meeting a few of you, and I hope all is well with you and yours this Holiday Season.
I will be completing my Xmas shopping on Friday the 24th, as in years past, it seems that on that day it is only us Bros' in the stores, the pickins are slim but the crowds are small.
I will be hanging around here occasionally and reading past posts bringing myself up to speed before asking questions that have already been asked a thousand times...then picking every ones brain for any additional inside information on moving to Mexico.
Insider trading of information is allowed here isn't it? Don't want to have any one exposed on WiKiLeaks...no no no can't have that.
anywhoooooooo, that's all for now...and a very Merry merry Christmas to all.

Hola. Did you ever consider Grecian formula as a means to shake that nickname?

I already like this guy. The hair, too.
Welcome.
If you want some nitty gritty info about moving to Mexico, go to :

He's on here in a Santa costume right now.

I don't know MC. A good nickname is not easily won. And...someone else does have to give it to you. Sounds purrfect to me.

He had the biggest of big Mainecoons cats, but I think it died this or last year (bad year for MC) and I heard he got another one. Great cats.
Besides, he's the graffiti removal king here in Ajijic and therefore, a prince of a fella.

Hola SnowDaddy, welcome aboard and a feliz navidad to you. You've come to the right place to have your questions answered, with luck some may even be correct. And as a bonus you will also get tons of opinions, and sometimes an opinion will be factual as well, like: Delicias is the best breakfast restaurant lakeside. So that should take care of one burning question, any others?

Re: The Oldie...that's a Newbie
Actually, our previous Maine Coon was a normal size cat. Our new one, a rescue from Jocotopec, appears to be a combination between a Maine Coon and an ocelot. He's huge, tall and has back legs like an ocelot.
But he's all Maine Coon where it counts, the personality. One friend describes him as "the life of the party." As in the attention hog.

¡Feliz Navidad y prospero año!
Must be something in the water up there in BC. Am I the only one who thinks there's a resemblance between SnowDaddy and CanuckBob?
Welcome and, yes, Delicia's has the best breakfast in town!

Re: The Oldie...that's a Newbie
I like the look, forget about that grecian formula stuff. I got the white hair but my facial hair keeps insisting on coming in with color and throws the rest of it off.
Thinking about moving to Mexico, eh? Do you have any idea what you're getting yourself into? Do you think you can handle great weather year-around and a low cost of living?

.....and then, there's:
"It don't matter if there's snow on the roof as long as there's fire in the chimney".
