Very few patterns in Mexico. Many sewers make their own patterns.

what about shipping them down? I haven't had the most steady of hands for mapping out patterns. Any videos I've seen of others doing it make making your own look like a breeze. :)

Yes, you can do that. And look for patterns at garage sales and local resale shops. Needlepushers is an organization that sews dresses and vests for local children if you are interested in sewing for others. Perhaps someone from that organization will post here.
