is there an outlet that will sell you one without buying a phone? friend coming down wants us to mail it to him from vegas. only have 'til sat. to get it. gracias

You can buy a TelCel simcard at any TelCel store. I think even OXXO sells them.

Assuming OXXO sells them, he can pick one up when he crosses border in Nogales.

Best to buy one locally as if one buys one at the border it will have a border area code and could be long distance for some to call from lakeside.
