10 safest places to visit in Mexico
I found this article this morning:
http://travel.ca.msn.com/10-safest-places-to-visit-in-mexico-now-1
I think they probably left a few out.

Yeah no kidding. These articles make me laugh however at least they are touting some safe places in Mexico versus a few years ago when the whole country was being painted as unsafe for tourists.

To be honest I prefer the small pacific villages over the large tourist spots. Melaque and Barra Navidad are wonderful safe places to hang. NoCanuckBob wrote:Yeah no kidding. condo salesman either. Saint Pancho north of PV is a very nice safe village also. Lots of choices.

I would venture a calculated guess that cities in "inland Mexico" aka colonial Mexico aka "real Mexican cities" suffered far great damage to their economies from the negative NOB media than those at the coastal Gringo resorts? About time, many of the recognized cities receive positive press!

I'm in Houston and on the news every evening there is a story about the daily knifing, shooting, all deaths, home break-ins are routine in the best neighborhoods (it's every day and only the most sensational make it to the news). A few doctors asked me about living in Mexico and wasn't I afraid there. I've told them not as much as daily in Houston.
