Shaw Direct and changes
This report today from DigitalHome.ca:
I recently upgraded my buddy's dish, from the old round single satellite dish, to the oval Model 60E with the Dual Quad LNB.
When I called Shaw for him to update the V-codes, they did all three receivers individually. This is the first time I've heard of this.
In the past, they would accept the call, ask how many receivers are on the account, and tell you that programming would return in a few minutes.
So therefore, if you are an American Snowbird, and you keep your US receivers in the US year round, I wouldn't waste my money upgrading my US dish to the new XKu LNB, because you cannot access the new channels from the new G1 satellite anyway.
