INM Question Empty INM Question

Post by Hensley Mon Apr 22, 2013 2:48 pm

Ok we have new info:

El trámite ha sido recibido Delegación Federal en Jalisco
22/04/2013 Presentarse en una oficina del INM Delegación Federal en Jalisco
22/04/2013 Registre los datos para la expedición de su documento migratorio Delegación Federal en Jalisco

Which says that we need to present ourselves probably for finger printing.

What do we need to bring with us for paperwork since they have everything?

Does anyone have driving directions?

Thanks a bunch.

Wouldn't your lawyer or facilitator have filled you in on all of the details?

Maybe Hensley is doing it without a facilitator or lawyer. Certainly you'll want to bring your passport since they didn't keep the original. And your photos. And I'm not sure what else. Hopefully it's all good to go and they won't ask for anything additional as far as approving the application. If it was me, and I was doing it on my own, I think I'd pop into the Chapala Office and play dumb. If they tell you that you need to go to Guadalajara, see if they'll give you a list of what you need to bring.

I'm guessing you're applying for Permanente, right? Can you tell me how much time elapsed between the notifications "ha sido registrado y asignado" and the new notifications? I'm in the process of waiting and curious how fast (or slow) applications are being processed. My application was registered/assigned on April 4.

Thanks Spencer for the address! I have been here before but it has been years and I didn't drive.

Not bad on the timing so far, but we are in no hurry.

"22/04/2013 Registre los datos para la expedición de su documento migratorio Delegación Federal en Jalisco"

I think there is a link on this same page that takes you to your personal information so you can make updates. Mine was a bit out of date.

Did you get your form taken care of? It's exciting to see notifications on the website. When I applied I took in a filled out form from online along with a deposit slip. The man told me that when it says to go to Guadalajara, to go back into the Chapala office first to make sure everything is in order. Finally got a notice to go in so I went into the Chapala office today and they told me what they were going to ask for and that I needed to take to the Guadalajara office. Which I appreciate because I wouldn't have showed up prepared and been frustrated to have to turn around for something.

Thanks, drove in today and got everything taken care of, they gave us a paper for the bank which was 2 blocks away and went back and no waiting at all, so now just to wait about 20 days and then we should be done.

You are having such an amazingly positive experience. It is nice to see that it can happen smoothly. Congrats on getting through the process. Though you are waiting for the card, you officially are permenente now. I just picked up my card yesterday and I would be thrilled if I did not know that I am stuck with that ugly picture until I become a citizen. I am going to have all kinds of stuff injected in my face and permanent makeup so my picture looks good next time! I think we should all have a permenente party and show our cards on the one year anniversary of the INM Change of procedure. Nov 9th Correct? We can drive our Jalisco plated cars to the destination.
