Just ran into a Blog talking about these but haven't figured out what all is needed. For very inexpensive and a range of 15km it sounds unbelievable. Read the reviews for more info.

Someone in Melaque with Telmex could supply service to our little community without it

It sounds like reception equipment for wireless over-the-air Internet, being broadcast from an ISP (eg. LagunaNet), as opposed to a wireless in-home radio station. It would go on top of a pole on your roof. But I don't really know.

I used to work with a guy down here who owned a wireless ISP, Dick Philo (shudder), and our biggest problem (apart from his hatred of "customers") was finding and maintaining reliable devices like this.

Something like it was going to be my first choice out here in the country until I found out I'd have to buy the equipment on both ends and would be sharing bandwidth with someone I didn't know well.

Thanks Telcel .... but I can't share Telcel due to megabyte limits
